Hungry to assess my animation prowess, I decided to recreate a scene from my favorite anime series! All visuals were created by me in Moho and Photoshop, though the original anime scene was used as a visual reference.
Behind The Scenes
Below is a clip of the Moho Editor showing everything involved with making this animation.
The entire character, her sword, backgrounds, particles, and visual effects were all drawn, rigged, and animated in Moho, which was arguably the simplest part to do even though it was still time-consuming.
The exported video was then edited in Adobe Premiere Pro to trim and polish the final output.
Self-Evaluation The main issue (which wasn't evident until I was halfway through animating the scene) was that I didn't have a plan for how to transition between different shots and angles in the scene. This is where a storyboard would've been incredibly useful!
In hindsight, I made many mistakes since this was my first animation of its size and scale, and some things were way more complicated than they needed to be, but I'm still proud of the final output :)
Created with Moho, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere Pro :)
